Paintball Scenario Games

One of the unusual things about the sport of paintball is it's not the same old game every single time you play with your buddies. In most sports like football, baseball and soccer - it's the same game with the same rules and there isn't room for any change; when you play paintball - the games are endless and some of the games that are the most fun to play are scenario games.

Paintball scenario games are growing in popularity year after year and they don't have rules that are written in stone - you and your paintball buddies make the rules as you want them to apply to your own individual games. One scenario game that gets a lot of play both in woodsball games and on professional paintball fields is a game usually called "Sniper" although there are a lot of variations to the name. It is played by one player being chosen to go into the woods or hide on the field. That player then attempts to mark and get as many people off the field as he can without getting hit himself. When the sniper is marked, the game is over. If you're going to play a game of Sniper and you are chosen to be the sniper, make sure you have a good gun for the game. A longer barrelled silently shooting marker won't give away your position to everyone with each shot you make.

Some paintball teams reenact famous battles through paintball where the players are soldiers with very specific missions as based on a historical battle. Reenactments are another fun way to play out a scenario game when playing paintball.

Getting Your Paintball Supplies Online

One of the easiest things about playing paintball is that you don't need a huge amount of equipment to get into the sport and be at the top of your game. Cover your safety equipment and make sure you have a great mask that will fully protect your face and head. Goggles are a must if you have an open face mask that allows for optional goggles, if not a full face mask that you can raise and lower is great - just remember to keep the mask down if you are anywhere that a paintball could be discharged from a gun. Other safety equipment needed will be a jersey, pads and boots.

If you find that you're going through a good number of paintballs in your games you're either firing too soon before your target gets into range or you're not a good shot. Practice makes perfect and a wonderful way to practice is to buy your paintballs in bulk and use those to practice your leading and exactly how far your marker will propel a paintball. With practice you can learn exactly when to fire your marker and mark your opponent - as you get better and better with your marker, you can soon become the sniper for your team. If you want to make your aim a little better, opt for a longer barrel but remember you won't get the range that you get with a shorter barrel.

You can get everything you need and more online and nothing beats the convenience of online shopping for your paintball supplies!

Finding a Paintball Field

One of the most frustrating things for new players in the sport of paintball is finding a place to go play. If you're lucky enough to live close to a forested area, you can play a game of woodsball anytime you like. The paintball of today are made of a gelatinous outside with houses a colored mixture that is similar to the colorings used in ice cream and other confections. So, you aren't being harmful the environment when you play a game of woodsball provided everyone else is picking for themselves and leaving no trash or debris.

If you want to find a paintball field near your home, there are a few ways you can go about finding out. First of all, talk to other paintball players and find out if they know where any commercial fields are and what they are like. If no one in your area seems to have any information you can always log onto the Internet and look on Google for a paintball field in your area.

One of the beautiful things about paintball is you can play it almost anywhere there won't be pedestrians or other people. Going deep into the woods is usually enough and if you can't find a commercial field in your immediate area, another solution is to find some private land to play on. As long as you explain what you're going to be doing and that you won't harm the land - most land owners will give their permission for your group to go have a great game on paintball.

Ghost Town Paint Balling

One of the hottest trends in Southern Arizona for paintballing is to play in a ghost town. Arizona has a good number of ghost towns that were wild west boomtowns that went bust and now are just crumbling ghost towns with tumbleweeds blowing through.

If you want to have a wild time playing paintball in one of these ghost towns, you and your buddies can have a blast but just follow a few precautions. First of all, get permission, some of them are owned by private parties. Most land owners are amazingly nice when asked if you may play paintball on their land. Most are not so nice if they have to find out you were there without permission. Explain that your paintballs are made of a gelatinous substance and will wash away with the rains and agree you will leave not other traces of your visit. Offer to sign a hold harmless agreement stating whatever happens to you and your crew during your playtime is your own responsibility and you hold the landowner harmless.

Stay out of buildings. It's okay to run around and past the old dilapidated buildings in these ghost towns but stay out of them. You have no way of knowing which construction is still holding up and which isn't and a floor or wall could cave in leaving you with a nasty fall or a lot of wall suddenly on top of you.

Other than that you can duck, dodge and dive behind barriers, walls and even have an old west shoot out if you want - if you get the chance - go for a game of paintball in a ghost town!
