Judging the Safety of a Paintball Field
When you make plans to go play paintball, you want to have a good time. One way to ensure that you will is to make sure that the field is safe. How do you do that? It's not hard; in fact it's very simple. First, make sure the field has a chronograph; this means that the paintball gun is less than 300 feet per second. You need to make sure that they do check the guns periodically throughout the day. Second, make sure that the field demands that everyone goggle or masks, designed only for paintball. Third, there must be a safe area where a person can go away from the playing area and be allowed to take off their masks. Also be certain that the field has an barrel plug rule, which stop anyone in the safe area without their masks from getting shot with a paintball. The barrel plug stops the paintball from exiting the barrel. And last make sure the staff is responsible and experienced, after all they will be the ones enforcing the rules. If you see rules are being enforced and adhered to, you can rest assured this paintball field will have your best safety interests at heart. Paintball is a fun game and to keep it fun you must be a responsible player and make sure that the proper safety procedures are being followed. If you go to a paintball field and find that the field is lacking any of these five rules, run - don't walk from the field. There are many fields out there that do put safety first, make sure that you find one that does.

What is a Paintball Party?
Paintball is a fun game for all ages. A paintball party will equal even more fun. They're good for birthdays, holidays, or just any day you would like to gather your favorite group of friends and enjoy a great game of paintball. Typically how it works is that you get a group of people to go to the local paintball field, usually if it's a large group you can get to play at discounted rates. Once your group has paid their fees, your group will be taken to a staging area where you can gear up and get ready to play. If someone in the group is new to paintball or forgot an important piece of safety equipment such as a helmet or goggles, usually these items can be rented at the facility. You will broken up into to groups, and the people in a different group than yours is the your opponent. You will go through the field, and try to shoot as many of the other side as possible. The object of the game may need to be different according to the field you're playing on. One good thing about paintball parties, especially birthday paintball parties, is all the perks that will probably be available. Many paintball fields offer specials packages on paintball parties that would include length of playtime, number of paintball packs, and price per person. Some even offer food after the game. Some offer games and tournaments. You can purchase these parties online or in person, though it is recommended regardless of the method that you make reservations, versus just showing up at the field. Paintball parties are great for friends, families, and groups. It's a great way to spend a day with your friends playing your favorite game. After you have had your first paintball party, you'll be ready to do it again.

Choosing a Paintball Field
So you want to play a game of paintball, but not sure of the type of field to play on? There are many to choose from, and each is guaranteed to be loads of fun. The two types of fields are indoor and outdoor fields. First we'll look at the outdoor fields. Do you like the woods? Well you could play a game of Woodsball. If you like the feel of real combat this type of field would be great for you, you can easily blend into your environment and catch your opponent of guard. Next are concept fields, this type of set-up usually has structures in place such as cars, fake buildings, and other types of objects. Then you have speedball fields; these are usually played closed range with only a bunker or similar object protecting you. You really have to have your eyes open and be on your toes for this type of field, because while your looking in one direction, your opponent can easily slip by and get you from the other. This is where teamwork is important. Now that brings us to the indoor fields. Most indoor fields are set up as a speedball field and when you play indoors it is usually louder too. Also, playing indoors is more high energy and can provide more of an adrenaline rush, and not much room to run vs. outdoors. The most important thing is your position and how vulnerable that position makes you to the opponent. Whether you prefer the more of the up close and personal of indoor paintball fields, or the space and squad tactics of an outdoor field, you can be guaranteed that you are going to have a good time.
