The Paintball Gaming History

Once you find yourself either becoming a fan of playing or watching paintball, you might begin to wonder just where the game itself came from. After all, over the past decade or so, the sport of paintball has grown increasingly popular with several different age groups, not just in the United States, but also in many other countries across the globe. As you start to hear about some of the history of the game of paintball, you may even begin to hold an entirely new appreciation for it and all of its players.

The actual game of paintball itself has been said to date back to approximately 1981, while the gun seems to have been invented way back during the early 1970s. In the earlier days, the gun itself had been used by a number of farmers and loggers to mark either livestock or trees. It is really not very hard to see just why the game itself begun to take shape about a decade later, especially if you have been bitten by the paintball bug yourself. When paintball first started, it was pretty much known to be one of the hottest elimination games in the history of this country, far exceeding the popularity of Lazer Tag.

Over the years you have probably noticed that there are just thousands upon thousands of paintball enthusiasts who are now involved in teams, games, tournaments and so much more. There are even several professional teams who are regularly featured on some of the sports television channels. With such fun sport, it is quite easy to see just why it took off so quickly!

Improving Your Shot

Whether you have been playing paintball for a long time or if you are just beginning, there will definitely be some point in your journey where you are going to want to begin improving on your shot. It is really no secret that the absolute best way to improve your shot in paintball is to get in on a little bit of extra practice time. Not only will this give you more practice for your aim and shot itself, but you will also have the opportunity to get much better acquainted with your paintball gun.

In order to get started on your practice efforts and your quest for a better shot, you are going to want to get yourself a good supply of some really affordable paintballs. Then, you can head out into a paintball field outside of gaming hours or even your very own backyard and begin shooting. You may want to think about getting your hands on a couple of targets as well so that you can really gauge your progress and see just how much more practice you will need along the way.

You could even look into purchasing one of the target practice systems if you are really serious about working on your shot and performance. You will have the convenience of a large target along with paintless target balls that are reusable, which can save you a great deal of money in the long run. After you put some time and effort into practicing your shot, you are pretty much guaranteed to see some amazing results.

Paintball Birthday Party

Do you happen to have a child or other family member who is having a birthday coming up who is also a big fan of paintball? If so, then you might want to think about taking the steps to throw him or her a great paintball party. Such an event can be approached several different ways, and all that you really need to remember is to have fun with it. You can either plan that party so that playing paintball is involved or just go with a festive paintball theme.

Starting off with some of the basics for the paintball birthday party, you can begin by having a cake that is decorated with what look to be paint splatters made out of different colored frosting. You can even put up couple of white sheets outside ahead of time and have them peppered with paintballs. Once they dry, you can then place them either inside for an indoor party or outside for an outdoor party. There are plenty of fun possibilities when it comes to all of the different things you can do for decorations.

If you decide to have a paintball birthday party where the guests can actually play paintball, you can even have great prizes for some of the winners. A perfect idea for prizes could be gift certificates in different denominations. Once you begin all of your planning for this fun and festive party, you will definitely begin to see your hard work paying off. This could be a paintball birthday party that folks will be talking about for quite some time to come.

A Paintball Weekend

There might come a time in your paintball playing lifetime that you will have the amazing opportunity to enjoy a fun filled and exciting paintball weekend with some of your friends. Often times, some of your local paintball fields may organize such paintball weekends where you can go and camp out and get involved in games all throughout the weekend. If you do not have such a field that offers such weekends, then you might even want to think of organizing such a weekend yourself.

Just think about how much fun it will be to get out on the field for a couple of days with a great group of fellow paintball lovers. You will more than likely have the opportunity to mingle around and meet new people and possibly even make some friends along the way. This can be a great opportunity to chat and share tactics and tips with one another and maybe even check out each other's gear. You might even find yourself learning about some new products that you will want to try!

If you are going to be attending an organized paintball weekend, then you might find that there are a couple of vendors on hand if you happen to run out of supplies. However, it is always good to stock up on all of your paintballs and replacement parts before you even set out for your adventure. Depending on how much playing you are looking to do over the weekend, a container of 1,000 paintballs should be enough to tie you over.

Winter Paintball Considerations

One of the most enjoyable aspects of playing paintball is that the game can be enjoyed any time of the year. No matter what the weather, you can go out and play a great game of either woodsball or move the game indoors at a professional facility if it's raining badly or far too hot or cold to play outdoors. No matter what, there's always a place to play paintball.

In the winter, you can up the fun of your woodsball games by dressing in white and blending in with the snow as much as possible. There are a few considerations for playing in colder temperatures however. Number one being your paintballs. If exposed to extremes of heat or cold- they tend to warp and once warped, they may or may not travel through your barrel. More often than not, warped paintballs tend to burst inside your barrel making it necessary to get out of the game and do a little field stripping cleaning to your paintball marker.

Dress in light layers. A t-shirt, a thermal shirt and a jersey should be enough for most winter play - take a jacket along and as you run and play paintball, you can always take it off when you start feeling overheated. Speaking of overheated, it is very possible to become dehydrated during the winter - so pack along water to drink so you stay on the top of your game.

Stay warm, stay hydrated and don't bring along more paintballs than you can comfortably use in a game so they don't get too cold and warp and then you'll have a great winter season of playing paintball.

Ready, Aim, Mark!

No matter if you're into Woodsball or Bunker-style paintball games at your local range - eventually a rifle or a pistol marker will need some bells and whistles to keep the game interesting for you.

Adding in items like scopes will help you target opponents at great distances and you quickly learn through trial and error what length barrel lets your individual marker shoot a paintball at a higher rate of speed as well as which barrels will help your paintball arrive on its chosen target with more accuracy.

The Swat Red Dot Scope is a third generation scope that has everything you need to make your sniper-style games something that is state of the art. The scope itself is designed to have a tactical look that resembles scopes in use by law enforcement and the military. It was designed to have a clear red dot with flexible brightness settings.

The wide field of view is also something that previous incarnations of scopes didn't have. This scope will allow you to aim from any distance and allow for wind and elevation adjustments to insure a perfect marker shot every time.

Best of all this scope fits easily on pistols, rifles and shotgun markers. No matter what you use to play your game of paintball, you can effortlessly add a scope to your game and up the ante for your opponent!

Great Entry Level Paintball Gun

One of the first things that you learn when you enter the fun sport of paint balling is you can spend as much or as little as you want and still have a great collection of equipment.

If you're new to the game of paintball, you're going to want to use a gun that won't get you laughed off the field for looking like a newbie player but you also want something that won't break your bank account either. Tippmann has made a gun that is ideal for entry level players or anyone that plays paintball on an occasional basis.

The Tippmann A-5 Response Paintball Gun is a great marker that is a high performance marker with the patented Cyclone Feed System. The Cyclone Feed System is unique to Tippmann guns because it links the feed to the air system of your marker. The faster you shoot your marker the faster it feeds paintballs in to be shot. Up to 15 balls per second. This marker is also very easy to keep clean and requires no special tools or equipment to field strip and clean off.

The trigger resets itself with every shot so that the pressure of your finger on the trigger actually stimulates the marker to reset itself for the next shot. That's why the tippmann response trigger system works and it works to your individual speed level. If you're not firing your marker, it's not feeding. If you fire a little slowly, it will feed more slowly. This paintball gun is made to play the way you play paintball.

Basic Woodsball Fun

Playing woodsball is the way most paintballers were introduced to their new favorite sport.

Woodsball is a great way to learn stealth paintball tactics and unless you're playing on a private lot that charges fees, woodsball is free. There are a lot of advantages and a lot more ways to track and mark your opponent. Most often, woodsball games are played one of two ways.

The way involves a flag being placed at an area designated as "home" for one team and then another flag at another area designated "home" for the other team. The object of this woodsball game is to capture the flag of the opposing team. This is always a fun game to play and some snipers even go so far as to paint the soles of their shoes black so they can be stealth and unseen, even up in the trees.

The type of woodsball played most often has a lot of different names like BunnyHunt or TurkeyShoot but it involves one to two players going off ahead and then the rest of the team following and attempting to mark the "bunny" or the "turkey". The persons chosen as bunnies will have the ability to fire back as well as the possibility of laying land mines just to up the ante in the paintball game.

A lightweight gun is always best for woodsball as you wind up doing a lot more moving than in bunker type games where normally you wind up setting in and then picking off your opponents as they advance.

If you're looking for something fun to do this upcoming weekend - organize a game of woodsball with your paintball buddies for old time's sake!

A Basic Gun to Get Started Playing Paintball

If you've been interested in getting into the sport of paintball, you've no doubt been doing a lot of research on different markers (paintball guns), types of games and places to play. In addition, talk to your friends that are already playing and find out what type of paintball gun they enjoy using most. Some players love a pistol and others swear by a rifle. One name you will hear again and again when you're researching paintball markers is "Tippmann".

Tippmann has made a paintball gun that is fantastic for the newer player. It is honed down to the very basics and doesn't have a lot of complex workings that will take time away from learning the game.

The Tippmann Custom Pro Basic is just what the name says, a basic paintball gun. It is accurate and will allow you to make deep strikes on your opponents without having to spend and arm and a leg on a higher powered gun. This basic gun outfit comes standard with an eleven-inch stone honed barrel that will allow you to be accurate without compromising speed. The double trigger on this marker serves two purposes, not only to propel paintballs out of the gun but the dual action actually feeds more paintballs in to be shot. The more you shoot this paintball gun, the more it feeds. It also comes standard with a 200 round hopper that will more than fulfill your needs as a newer paintball player.

It's fully-customizable to enhance performance and compatible for CO2, compressed air, or nitrogen so you can experiment and find out what type of system you enjoy playing with the most in your paintball game.
